Week One Tula Pink City Sampler #100Days100Bocks Challenge
Crosses: Blocks 1 - 7
I am participating in the #100days100blocks2017 Tula Pink City Sampler Instagram challenge. I love this book so when I found the challenge on GnomeAngel.com I was thrilled.
Unlike most of the participants I am using a very limited fabric palette. I’ve decided to use just one focal print, 2 coordinating solids, and 1 accent for pop. The print I purchased from Fanny’s Fabrics back in the mid to late 90s. A Christmas print depicting the three wise men. The solids are purple and turquoise. The accent is lime. I have marble versions of the solids which I will use sparingly.
I’m really enjoying making these blocks. Some are quite intricate but not so fussy that you’ll tear your hair out. I’m doing my best to sew ahead of the challenge’s schedule because I know I will abandon the project if I get out of step. Plus I don’t want to miss out on any opportunities to win the great prizes available.
